Best Practices: Image Sizes
1. Resize Before Uploading
-
Don’t upload large images straight from your camera.
-
Resize to the exact or max display size you need (e.g., 1200px wide for banners, 800px for blog images).
-
Use tools like Photoshop, TinyPNG, or online resizers.
2. Use Correct Image Dimensions
-
Hero/header image: ~1600–2000px wide
-
Full-width blog image: ~1200px
-
Content area image: ~800px
-
Thumbnail: ~150x150px (WordPress auto-generates)

Layouts & Layout Sections
Avada Layouts Overview
Avada Layouts allow you to customize specific areas of your website globally or conditionally (e.g., different headers for different pages).
-
Layouts are containers that define what layout sections (header, footer, etc.) to display.
-
You can assign layouts site-wide or to specific pages, posts, categories, user roles, etc.
-
Managed under Avada > Layouts.
Layout Sections
Each Layout is composed of up to 5 optional layout sections:
-
Header – Replaces the default header.
-
Page Title Bar – For custom title/banner areas.
-
Content – Replaces the main content area; often used for custom page templates or WooCommerce product layouts.
-
Footer – Replaces the default footer.
-
Sticky Footer – An additional fixed footer that stays visible.
Each section is built using the Avada Builder.
